Description
Join Laurie Raskin, visual artist and avid collector, for a conversation on her working process, influences, and experiences in the art world. In her own work, Laurie uses mixed media practices, such as printmaking, collage, and painting, to create bold, colorful works with a distinctly-unique modernist style. She often uses images from 20th-century art history, with an emphasis on the Bauhaus, Russian Constructivism, and American Pop Art. Her style incorporates a variety of sources, with artists such as Sonia Delaunay, Sister Mary Corita, and Stuart Davis serving as touchstones of inspiration.
